Do you use nylon roto brush after wax applied also? Thanks
best epoxy to use is 12-ton aircraft structural adhesive (white + black = grey mix), 2nd choice is 10-ton 2-part epoxy (clear + yellow = beige mix) - the 10-ton can be heated and will seep into the void better as the heat thins it, however i prefer the strength and also flexibility of the 12-ton, it seems more trustable, though both materials have yielded many good repairs for me. if you use the 12-ton you need to "spatula" it in (drive the material into the void) and when you clamp, material should squeeze/ooze out. it also helps to help a thin 1/4 of 3/8" thick piece of wood on either or both sides of the ski / snowboard to help the clamp produce a flatter, tighter, Stronger repair.
Great video, thank you. I have a choice of Soft Nylon, Hard Horse Hair and/or Soft Horse Hair, there's also something called Tampico. For roto brushing some downhill and cross country skis what would you recommend?
Is that minor?
Hello from 2021. Great video - looking forward to trying this.
I have a rough diamond. Can you pls identify it pls.
Not so low? Burning?
My research suggests that you go tip to tail with the brush rotating so that the bristles push the wax tip to tail as well. Seems to me that the brush rotation is much more important than the direction of travel. Your way does make sense because you are not pushing the brush into the wax debris. I’m interested in other opinions on this?
Thanks for the comment. Bottom line is that this is my preferred technique, try it and see if it works for you. Now to throw a wrench into the gears, I’ve started to use Nanox wax - and their recommended brushing technique goes against conventional wisdom. They call it scrubbing, where with hard pressure on a nylon brush, you would scrub back and forth, and not in one direction. Sidecut has a nanox video on UA-cam that would illustrate this technique better than I can in the comments section. Cheers, and thanks for watching.
Using tape to do this repair (drill bit marking) is a terrible idea. Get a collar.
Best way to make sure you're not overheating the base with an iron while waxing & thereby sealing the pores? Always feel the topsheet to make sure it's not getting too hot..., 🔥 #ProTip Now go hire the blind guy in town to do a better job than anybody else there! 😉💯🙌
Hi ! What is the name of the epoxy you used?
What is the epoxy you used? Can you give me a link to it? Also - how long did this repair hold?
What is the name of the epoxy you used? thanks!

This is a fantastic demonstration of the waxing technique! As a new user of a roto brush, the application of the water and brushing direction seems at opposition with the strict hand brushing from tip to tail but your method works much better. Thank you for posting!
Thank you for the kind words
thanks a lot to you mate ;)
How does JB Weld work for an epoxy for this? Is it flexible enough?
That's some good work there fellas.
Nice
Hey nice vid and thanks for posting. Where did you get that "release paper?" Great stuff to keep in the tune box. I've Googled around and can't seem to locate this stuff? Thanks buddy. Cheers. R
Use the backing of stickers - in this case the back of skateboard griptape. Wax paper or saran wrap if you are in a pinch. Thanks everyone
+pontimax33 Wax paper will work.
I've noticed they aren't the most robust skis. But I love my punx.
Sick ride...vinne style!
YEA Jessups grips tape!
